BCLP expands Real Estate Manchester Team with its first Real Estate Finance Partner hire

BCLP announced that Taslima Salam will join the firm on November 7 as a partner in BCLP’s market-leading Real Estate Finance Team. She will join from Eversheds Sutherland and be based at BCLP’s Manchester office.

Following a highly successful period of growth for the firm both nationally and internationally, BCLP is strengthening its Real Estate Sector Team in Manchester to meet continuously growing demand from clients and to increase the breadth, depth and capability of the team. Taslima will be the first BCLP Real Estate Finance partner in the UK outside of London and will head up the BCLP Real Estate Finance (REF) regional team, which consists of associates, trainees, paralegals and apprentices in both Manchester and Southampton. 

This addition underscores the firm’s commitment to Manchester and to regional operations and is the first step in what will be a rapid period of growth for the BCLP Real Estate Team more broadly. Both Manchester and Southampton play a strategically important role in the BCLP Real Estate offering in the UK.

Taslima is a leading Real Estate Finance lawyer in Manchester and brings with her a wealth of experience in Real Estate Finance, having acted for corporate borrowers, developers, house builders, clearing banks, debt fund and government institutions, as well advising on corporate lending transactions and strategic projects for clients. She is listed in the latest Legal 500 as a Next Generation Partner.

Passionate about championing female finance lawyers, Taslima has devised and led initiatives to retain and promote female lawyers as well as leading on inclusion and diversity initiatives and pro bono matters.
