International law firm BCLP has appointed Kathryn Marquez as Global Director of Learning & Development. Kathryn has nearly 20 years of experience in the field and, since joining BCLP in 2016, has held a variety of senior positions across the firm as its needs have grown.

Most recently, Kathryn was Director of Learning and Development, where she was responsible for the creation of the firm’s professional skills framework for all global fee-earners. Prior to joining the L&D team, she led the US-based Human Resources Business Partnering team at BCLP, while providing direct talent-management support to the Corporate and Finance Transactions and Real Estate departments. Before BCLP, Kathryn oversaw professional-development initiatives as part of a global team at Sidley Austin.

At BCLP, Kathryn has a proven track record of success in developing and implementing impactful L&D programs that have helped improve the firm’s performance and engagement around the globe. These have included a mix of partner readiness, business development training, and diversity and inclusion programs, as well as the launch of a Mid-Level Associate Conference.

“Kathryn truly understands the importance of creating dynamic programs that develop lawyers and leaders for what’s next at BCLP and beyond,” said BCLP Global Chief People Officer, Hannah Kozlova Lindsay. “Together, we’re excited to continue partnering with our leadership team as we continue building a world-class L&D function that supports our employees’ growth and ambitions around the globe.”
