'City & State' Top 50 Lobbyists in NYC 2021

BCLP Partners Judy Gallent and James Colgate were named among the Top 50 New York City lobbyists for 2021 by City & State New York magazine, the premier media organization dedicated to covering New York’s local and state politics and policy. Gallent and Colgate were highlighted in the number 23 spot.

Gallent, leader of the firm’s U.S. Planning and Zoning Practice, counsels both private and public sector clients on all aspects of land use and development law in New York City.

Colgate is both a real estate lawyer and an architect, giving him the perspective to serve clients with a wide variety of land use issues, including special permits, zoning variances, and comprehensive advice in navigating complex bureaucratic and political processes. 

The top government relations firms were ranked by New York City lobbying compensation figures compiled by the Office of the New York City Clerk. The publication then profiled the leading firms, as well as their top executives, key industries and clients, and latest accomplishments.
