BCLP partner’s published article wins 2023 Business & Legal Forums Award

BCLP Partner Julie Catala Marty was honored Oct. 19 at the 2023 Business & Legal Forums in Paris within the “legal and economic issues: general press” category for an article she authored in Les Echos.

In her article, originally published last April, Julie examines the Digital Markets Act (DMA) which came into force on Nov. 1, 2022, as a European framework to provide a series of obligations that the key digital players must comply with under penalty of sanctions.

Julie looks at the obligations now imposed on major platforms (the gatekeepers) to ensure fair and open digital markets. This is a key issue for the Commission, which recently designated the first platforms to comply with the DMA.
