BCLP Partners with BNP Paribas and Aspiring Solicitors to Conclude Mentoring Scheme Aligned with Financial Institution Pro Bono Day

BCLP is pleased to announce the conclusion of its collaborative partnership with BNP Paribas and Aspiring Solicitors in the Aspiring Solicitors Mentoring Scheme with the Financial Institution Pro Bono Day (FIPBD) on 30 April. FIPBD is an annual industry-wide initiative that mobilises volunteer lawyers and legal professionals from leading financial institutions around the world to provide pro bono services and training opportunities, including initiatives to mentor and upskill students. 

Through the Aspiring Solicitors mentoring scheme, BCLP and BNP Paribas have worked together in providing students from under-represented backgrounds with tailored guidance, practical insights, and targeted skills development to support their progression into the legal profession. Participants benefit from one‑to‑one mentoring, professional development sessions, and industry exposure delivered by lawyers across both organisations. The scheme also provides a platform for students to build networks with fellow mentees and mentors—relationships that are vital to their future careers. Fostering an inclusive environment is deeply embedded in BNP Paribas’ values.

Aligning the programme’s conclusion with FIPBD underscores the shared collective commitment of Aspiring Solicitors, BCLP and BNP Paribas to expanding access to legal careers and strengthening pathways for future talent.
