BCLP Strengthens Corporate and Finance Transactions Department with Strategic Partner Hires
May 14, 2025International law firm BCLP announced today that partners Lerika Le Grange and Simon Letherman will be joining the firm’s Corporate and Finance Transactions Department, in the London office. Lerika joins the Finance Transactions practice group and Simon joins the Tax practice group.
Prior to BCLP, Lerika was a partner at Taylor Wessing. She is a multi-specialist who brings extensive experience advising on corporate finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, asset-based lending, litigation funding, carbon finance and debt capital markets. Her clients include financial institutions, corporate borrowers, and sponsors on various banking and financing matters, including cross-border deals. Lerika is dual UK and South Africa qualified.
Simon joins from A&O Shearman, where he led the London Tax practice at Shearman & Sterling for nearly ten years. He has deep experience advising on corporate tax matters, including cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, loan finance, capital markets, restructuring and investment funds. He represents corporate clients, financial institutions, private equity firms and fund clients. Some of his clients have included Anglo American, General Electric, Intercontinental Exchange, Liberty Global and the Qatar Investment Authority.
Simon and Lerika’s arrival underscores BCLP’s ongoing commitment to deepen the capabilities of its Corporate and Finance Transactions Department and to continue to grow and develop these key strategic practice areas. These new partners will further bolster the department’s ability to meet growing client demand.
