BCLP announces today that Aymeric Dumoulin has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation & Investigations practice in Paris. Aymeric brings extensive business criminal law, compliance and regulatory litigation experience. He will lead the Paris office white-collar crime defense practice and compliance practice, working alongside Counsel Claire Lavarde.

Aymeric regularly advises clients on matters involving corruption, tax fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions violations. He also advises on compliance matters, particularly in the context of negotiating agreements with French and foreign prosecuting authorities as well as enforcement. His arrival marks an important next step in strengthening the firm’s white collar practice in Paris to meet increasing client demand in an ever-changing international regulatory environment.

Aymeric joins BCLP from Debevoise & Plimpton, where he spent ten years practicing in New York. He also led the Swiss Banking Practice, where he gained significant experience defending Swiss clients across European and American jurisdictions. Aymeric advised on the first joint resolution between the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and the French National Financial Prosecutor's Office (PNF), the first resolution of a legal entity in relation to terrorist financing with the DOJ, and several representations of major Swiss banks during the crackdown on Swiss banking secrecy by the same authority.

Dual-qualified to practice in France and New York, Aymeric’s clients include publicly-listed and privately-held companies, international financial institutions and corporate executives facing criminal, regulatory or parliamentary investigations, often related to national security concerns.  His reputation as a trusted advisor to his clients has resulted in recognition by Legal 500 EMA 2023 and among the ‘40 Under 40’ by Global Investigations Review.  He is also part of the team behind the creation of the White-Collar Crime Young Practitioners (WCCYP) association and regularly speaks and writes on topics related to his practice.

Aymeric Dumoulin, Partner, said, “BCLP's international and multi-service platform, combined with the firm's investment in Europe, were decisive factors. My goal is to offer clients excellent criminal defence services, both locally and internationally, combining technical expertise with a precise understanding of business issues.

Lee Marshall, Global Department Leader - Litigation and Investigations, commented, “The addition of Aymeric in Paris reflects our commitment to building a truly international litigation and investigations platform.  Clients are increasingly facing cross-border criminal enforcement and compliance challenges, and Aymeric’s arrival strengthens our ability to provide seamless, strategic advice across jurisdictions. His experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand our global practice.
