BCLP wins Real Estate Team of the Year at the 2026 Legal Business Awards alongside Ashurst Perkins Coie
Oct 08, 2026BCLP and Ashurst Perkins Coie have been awarded Real Estate Team of the Year at the 2026 Legal Business Awards, for their joint work on the £24 billion conditional partnership between The Crown Estate (TCE) and Lendlease.
This once-in-a-generation transaction unlocks six of the country's most complex development sites across London and Birmingham, Euston Station, Smithfield Birmingham, Silvertown, High Road West, Thamesmead Waterfront and Stratford Cross, expected to deliver over 25,000 homes, 9 million sq ft of commercial space, and more than 100,000 jobs.
BCLP was appointed in 2024, acting as lead legal adviser to TCE from inception to exchange, covering full legal structuring, asset due diligence, real estate and tax advice, stakeholder negotiation, public law and planning, and regulatory compliance. Ashurst was simultaneously appointed to advise Lendlease, covering legal and tax structuring, corporate, real estate and procurement advice.
The BCLP deal team was led by partners Chris de Pury (Real Estate), Adam Bogdanor (CREF), Celia Berg (Real Estate), and Elizabeth Bradley (Tax), who were assisted by a team comprised of over 60 UK lawyers spread across various practice groups.
