BCLP New York Counsel Suzanne Berger will moderate and join a discussion of residential foreclosure practice developments on March 24. This three-hour webinar, hosted by the Rockland County (NY) Bar Association, will focus on critical recent changes in the law and practice.

Panelists will discuss federal and state foreclosure moratorium, the New York Court of Appeals’ view on foreclosure statutes of limitations, proof required for lost notes, New York legislative updates on the topic, and default judgements, among other topics.

Joining Berger as speakers are the Hon. Mark C. Dillon, associate justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department, New York; the Hon. Paul I. Marx, Justice of the Supreme Court, Rockland County; and Derek S. Tarson, attorney and foreclosure project director with the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County, Inc.

Berger’s practice at BCLP has a special emphasis on litigation and appellate work arising out of commercial loan enforcement, mortgage foreclosures, landlord-tenant disputes and construction issues. She is a frequent speaker and author on these topics.
