‘Crain’s New York Business’ names Varuna Bhattacharyya as a 2023 Notable Leader in Real Estate

BCLP Commercial Real Estate Finance Partner Varuna Bhattacharyya has been selected as one of the Notable Leaders in Real Estate 2023 by Crain's New York Business.

“The 78 Notable Leaders in Real Estate showcased here are generating innovative ways to design, create and market residential and commercial property,” Crain’s stated in the Sept. 18 edition. To qualify for the list, honorees were “selected for their achievements in the real estate industry and their involvement in mentorship, philanthropy or community service activities.”

Varuna is an accomplished commercial real estate finance lawyer, advising both borrower and lender clients in all phases of complex real estate financings, from origination through closing. She represents major global financial institutions and real estate funds in all parts of the capital stack, focusing on single-lender as well as agented, multi-lender transactions involving a myriad of asset types, including office, hospitality, residential, warehouses and retail on a local, regional and national basis.
