Data Privacy Leader Addresses Cybersecurity and Ransomware

BCLP Global Leader of Data Privacy and Security Amy de La Lama recently joined a virtual panel discussion titled “Cybersecurity and Ransomware: Protecting Your Business from Emerging Threats.” The panel touched on security risks that many businesses face today, including the lifecycle of a ransomware attack.

De La Lama specializes in global privacy, data security and cyber security. She provides advice to a wide range of multinational pharmaceutical and medical device companies, retail companies, online businesses, B2B companies, and other types of organizations regarding these issues. She has broad experience guiding clients through the development and implementation of privacy compliance programs as well as advising clients on GDPR and similar global privacy laws in addition to CCPA, HIPAA and other U.S. privacy law issues.

The Jan. 21 event was hosted by Commerce Bank and featured their chief information officer and director of information security.
