London Partner and EMEA Co-Leader of Energy, Environment & Infrastructure Mark Richards has written an article for Automotive World, first published Nov. 18, on his belief that a no-deal Brexit could interrupt the supply of electric vehicles to the UK. Richards uses the piece to applaud the current positive UK policy landscape and recent growth of battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales, but asks whether such growth can be maintained post-transition period. Richards stipulates that EU automakers are more likely to prioritize the EU block market to meet EU strict per-car average emission levels, dampening the supply of BEVS into the UK.
