Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner advised the banks BPCE Energeco and BPI France Financement, as lenders, and Natixis, as hedging bank, in refinancing the existing debt of the Hanau Energies Group, a major French player in the construction and exploitation of photovoltaic power facilities.

The refinancing included establishing a loan of approximately 50 million euros. This will enable Hanau Energies Group to continue the development of existing power plants and to participate in the development of renewable energy projects, in particular in the solar sector in the East of France.

Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s team in Paris, alongside the banks’ (BPCE Energeco, BPI France Financement and Natixis), was composed of Partner David Blondel and Associate Charles Sechao in financing; Partner Jean-Pierre Delvigne and Associate Maryne Gouhier in energy law; Partner Christine Daric on tax structuring aspects; and Of Counsel Kai Völpel and Associate Justine Langer on corporate aspect.
