BCLP Co-Chair Lisa Mayhew has been named to the Financial News’ second annual list of Most Influential Lawyers.

Lisa was featured for having helped manage the 2018 cross-Atlantic merger of Bryan Cave and Berwin Leighton Paisner. She also was named for her experience as an accomplished lawyer focused on defending employers in large and complex employment disputes.

Lisa’s practice has typically been at boardroom level, for example acting on executive hires and severances, discrimination proceedings, cases of whistleblowing or major corporate transformation initiatives. She has represented clients in the High Court or at Employment Tribunals more than 50 times, including advising many of the world’s largest banks and other FTSE-level or large private companies in sectors such as retail and energy. She is a regular speaker and author on industry topics.

In other recent honors, Lisa was appointed as a non-executive director to the board of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). The nine-member board is the regulator of qualified lawyers and law firms in England and Wales, responsible for the protection of consumers and supporting the rule of law and the administration of justice. Lisa is currently the only law firm leader on the board.
