Los Angeles Partner Vanessa Sunshine participated as a session chair at IMN’s 17th Annual Winter Forum on Real Estate Opportunity & Private Fund Investing, held recently in Laguna Beach, Calif. Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner was an event sponsor.

This IMN conference annually brings together the largest real estate private equity funds, LPs and their service providers to address the challenges and opportunities facing the commercial real estate market with panels in fund structuring, macro-economic drivers, disposition trends, regulatory and tax considerations, and technology updates, among others.

Sunshine joined CRE leaders as session chair of the Senior Lender Panel 2020, where they discussed floating versus fixed rates, target transaction volumes, how current expected credit loss (CECL) will impact the senior lending market as well as preparations for the move to secured overnight financing rates (SOFR).

Sunshine is a member of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s Real Estate Private Equity and REITs Team. She focuses on representing opportunity funds, major developers, property owners and investors in structuring, negotiating and closing varied and complex commercial real estate transactions throughout the United States covering nearly every asset class.

New York Partner Matt Cudrin and Los Angeles/New York Partner Mal Serure also attended the forum.
