Jason Meyer, a partner in BCLP's Intellectual Property and Technology Disputes Practice, recently spoke with MLex about the model jury instructions for DTSA cases which were recently published by The Sedona Conference.

In the article, Jason discusses how the model instructions are likely to bring the parties closer together on at least some legal questions — and how that alignment creates conditions for settlement. Jason also makes the point that even where the instructions stop short of resolving doctrinal splits, they still meaningfully narrow the range of possibilities and should lead to greater efficiencies in trade secret litigation.

Jason has substantial litigation experience, including in patent and trademark, trade secrets, and employee non-compete matters. He has represented various commercial clients across the country in a wide array of federal and state lawsuits.
