Senior Counsel Jerry Hunter was highlighted in the St. Louis Business Journal for his work as general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board from 1989 until 1993. Jerry is, to this day, the only African American to be nominated and confirmed to that post.

While with the NLRB, Jerry supervised the Office of General Counsel and the agency's 1,800 employees; oversaw the operations of 33 regional, two sub-regional and 17 resident offices; prosecuted unfair labor practice cases before the five-member board; and represented the agency before the federal district courts, the U.S. courts of appeals, and the Supreme Court.
