Laura Giokas Receives 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award

BCLP proudly celebrates Laura Giokas, Global General Counsel, who received the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Missouri's College of Arts and Sciences this month. This award honors outstanding service by an individual whose sustained efforts and support have added to Mizzou’s excellence and whose contributions have brought distinction to both the honoree and the University of Missouri. 

“Mizzou played a formative role in my life and career, and it’s an honor to be recognized by a community that values excellence, integrity, and service,” Laura said. 

The College of Arts and Science gathered on March 4 for the 2026 Faculty, Staff, and Alumni Awards to celebrate progress and achievement. Laura received her BA in Political Science at the University of Missouri. 

As Global General Counsel, Laura manages and coordinates all firm-related legal matters. She also advises the firm on strategic and operational decisions and develops firmwide protocols and policies in the risk management area.
