Partner Julie Catala Marty and Legal Clerk Lucie Lavergne have written an article for La Lettre des Juristes d'Affaires in the wake of the European Commission's Illumina/Grail decision of September 6, 2022. They point to the possible end of predictability in merger control.

They explained that this decision "has many practical consequences for companies", including the assessment of the notifiable nature of a transaction and the anticipation of deadlines for the implementation of the transaction.

They also stressed that "pending the adoption of precise and binding guidelines, companies will have to change their behavior.”
