St. Louis Partner Rebecca Nelson has been named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s Most Influential Business Women of 2020 list. She joins honorees from a variety of business backgrounds, including health care, banking and nonprofit.

“The honorees are recognized for the impact they have in their industries, through various nonprofit organizations and in their communities,” the Business Journal stated.

Nelson has served in a variety of leadership roles within BCLP, including her current service on the firm wide Board, as a member of the Partnership Remuneration Committee, Lead Ally for the LGBTQ group in Saint Louis, Sponsor in the senior diverse associate mentoring program, and formerly as the global leader of the Antitrust & Competition practice group.  She remains an active practitioner of antitrust law, focusing on defending clients in merger and conduct investigations at the state, federal, and international levels.  She also serves as a trusted antitrust advisor, providing clients with customized compliance training, counseling on the full range of antitrust matters, and advice on antitrust issues facing their industries.

Outside of work, Nelson has for 10 years served on the Board of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse – St Louis Area (NCADA), a community organization that works to reduce or prevent the harms of alcohol and other drug use through education, intervention and advocacy. She has served on the Executive Committee for nine years, including her current position as the NCADA Board chair. Nelson also served for seven years on the Board of College Bound, a Saint Louis organization that empowers promising students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve bachelor’s degrees and successful careers.
