London Managing Partner Segun Osuntokun was quoted May 22 by The Lawyer regarding BCLP’s five-stage plan for reopening offices in London and elsewhere. While the firm generally transitioned to work-from-home arrangements for most lawyers and staff in mid-March, most of the 31 offices are in some stage of reopening, depending on local conditions. “The framework looks through the prism of the current situation, as governments shape approaches on unlocking their economies,” he said. “It’s our response to their decisions, but our primary responsibility is to ensure that health and safety of people is protected.” The publication noted that BCLP has assembled an office reopening task force, led by Global Chief Operating Officer David Rowe, which includes staff members from departments such as HR, risk and compliance, health and safety, and lawyers from various practice teams.
