Partner Shy Jackson co-authored an article published in the International Arbitration Law Review Volume 26, Issue 2 on the modernization of the Arbitration Act 1996 (“Act”), which governs arbitration in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The article highlights some of the key issues currently being considered such as confidentiality, arbitrator independence and disclosure, discrimination and arbitrator immunity. The article also refers to the BCLP Arbitration Survey 2022: The Reform of the Arbitration Act 1996, in which BCLP canvased views on the potential areas of reform and shared the results with the Law Commission as part of its ongoing consultation process. We invite your views on the BCLP Arbitration Survey 2023 which concerns artificial intelligence (AI) and the impact of its use in international arbitration.

Shy co-authored the article with Dr. Laura Lintott, Counsel at Watson Farley & Williams LLP.
