Partner Jim Lawrence will participate in the 2022 This Can Happen virtual U.S. conference, Nov. 7-10. The wellbeing conference will feature three sessions each day focused on supporting workplaces across North America with their mental wellbeing strategy.

The award-winning This Can Happen organization addresses critical issues associated with workplace mental health and is known for its leading conferences focused on meaningful solutions for workplace mental health strategies.

Jim will join a panel discussion on the impact of life transitions on workplace mental wellbeing. Mental wellbeing changes and evolves as we reach different milestones in life, and this impacts us in the workplace, too. This panel will include Jim and a variety of speakers talking about how their mental wellbeing has changed throughout different life transitions, and how workplaces can offer support to staff with this in mind.

At BCLP, Jim works as a commercial litigator and trial lawyer handling a wide range of disputes in the U.S. and abroad. He also serves as co-leader of the firm’s Higher Education Team, Global Wellbeing Advisory Board and LGBTQ Allies Committee. Jim is passionate about destigmatizing mental health challenges in the legal industry as a result of his own experience with substance abuse disorder.
