Partner Named among Region’s Most Influential Business Women
Jun 29, 2021BCLP Partner Erin Brooks has been named to the St. Louis Business Journal 2021 class of Most Influential Business Women. The Most Influential Business Women Awards program, established in 1999, annually recognizes the accomplishments of the region’s female business leaders who’ve made an impact in the industries in which they work and also in the community.
Brooks is an environmental attorney whose nationwide practice specializes in real estate redevelopment and renewable energy. She is routinely engaged to lead responses to regulatory and enforcement actions, site investigation and remediation, transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, compliance counselling encompassing all environmental media, and all phases of litigation. Brooks partners with corporate clients across a wide range of industries, such as food, beverage and agriculture, manufacturing, metal fabricating, and car rental and fleet management on such nationwide environmental matters. She is a frequent speaker on sustainability and repurposing of industrial real estate and an author on industry topics.
In addition to her work as an environmental lawyer, Brooks is a leader in the St. Louis community. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, in March 2020 the BCLP St. Louis office formed a Charitable Response Team co-led by Brooks. Since its inception, the team has worked to identify initiatives to support and mobilize monthly campaigns to help the community cope with the extraordinary challenges the pandemic has brought. For example, one month the office raised $50,000 for Operation Food Search (OFS); another month, the office fulfilled a St. Louis Public School District elementary school’s entire Amazon wish list to help students with virtual learning equipment in lieu of the office’s in-person tutoring program.
The Business Journal will recognize all of this year’s honorees with a special section on Aug. 13, and at an in-person luncheon the same day.
