Partner Named Board President for True Colors Theatre Company

BCLP Partner Eric Schroeder was elected Board president recently of True Colors Theatre Company in Atlanta, Ga. Since joining the Board in June 2016, he has served in several offices including secretary, chair of the Nominating & Governance Committee, and most recently as vice president.

Managing Director Chandra Stephens-Albright shared, “We are pleased to see him take this leadership role as True Colors kicks off a new strategic plan that will establish us as a nationally recognized leading Black theatre.”

True Colors Theatre Company is a nonprofit regional theater company with a mission to celebrate the rich tradition of Black storytelling while giving voice to bold artists from all cultures. With active community events and education programming, the vision of Artistic Director Jamil Jude is for the company to thrive at the intersection of artistic excellence and civic engagement.

Partner in charge of the firm’s Atlanta office, Eric maintains an active practice at BCLP. He is a nationally recognized media and intellectual property attorney who specializes in “content,” business speech, branding and First Amendment-related issues.

Among other civic and professional commitments, Eric is a past president of the Atlanta chapter of the Federal Bar Association and has served on its Executive Committee for several years. He currently serves on the Governing Committee of the Forum on Communications Law for the American Bar Association and is the founder and convener of the Atlanta Sports Counsel Roundtable.
