BCLP Partner Sarah Hartley will present at the Sexual Abuse Litigation and Coverage Conference, hosted virtually on May 18.

Sarah will participate in the panel “Status of Bankruptcies in Sexual Abuse Cases.” The discussion will cover diocese bankruptcy cases, sports bankruptcy cases and federal bills amending Chapter 11 for cases involving child sex abuse. She will be in conversation with Prof. Marci A. Hamilton, CEO and founder of CHILD USA, and Brent Weisenberg, Esq., Lowenstein Sandler.

Sarah has significant experience in complex commercial litigation and antitrust disputes, representing local, national and multinational companies in all stages of their dispute resolution process. She also has worked with sports clients in the Olympic movement, professional sports and collegiate sports, and is regularly consulted on Safe Sport matters, governance and ethical issues. Her practice includes handling sexual misconduct allegations within sports organizations and universities. Sarah represents NGBs in connection with investigations and disciplinary proceedings involving allegations of sexual misconduct and physical abuse, governance issues, sponsorships and employment agreements, and also serves as an advisor to universities on Title IX compliance. She also is an adjunct professor of Sports Law at the University of Colorado Law School.
