BCLP Lawyer in ‘P3 Bulletin’ on Inflation in the Infrastructure Industry
Jan 18, 2022BCLP Senior Counsel Greg Hummel was quoted Jan. 14 by P3 Bulletin regarding P3s (or public-private partnerships) and issues facing the infrastructure industry. “P3s are complex projects, and the risk management is tricky. In addition to the cost of materials and labor, we have to ask what’s the demand on the offtake side of it,” Greg said. “I’m seeing major players in the region betting long-term that that demand is going to come back, and they are pushing ahead notwithstanding some of the new risks,” he said. “I do think that at this stage it’s a business risk that can be managed.”
