Partner Saurish Appleby-Bhattacharjee Named to Law Bulletin Media's 40 Under Forty Class of 2026

A partner in BCLP's Litigation & Investigations practice, Saurish advises clients in complex civil and criminal litigation, government enforcement actions, whistleblower matters and internal investigations. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation as a skilled trial lawyer and trusted advisor, guiding clients through high-stakes disputes and sensitive investigations.
 
Before joining BCLP, Saurish served as a federal prosecutor in Los Angeles and Chicago, where he tried numerous cases to verdict and argued appeals before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits. His experience in both public service and private practice provides clients with a unique and valuable perspective when navigating complex legal and regulatory challenges.
 
In addition to his client work, Saurish is deeply committed to professional development and community leadership. He serves on the core faculty for BCLP's Trial Academy and Deposition Academy, helping train and mentor the firm's next generation of litigators. He also serves as president of the South Asian Bar Association of Chicago Foundation, supporting initiatives that expand access to justice and strengthen the legal profession.
