Partners author article in ‘Option Droit & Affaires’

BCLP Partners Élodie Valette and Philippe Métais authored an article published March 8 by Option Droit & Affaires on upcoming reform on the French class action regime. “Eight years after its introduction into French law and despite several subsequent laws which have broadened its scope, class action is still little used to resolve serial disputes. It could change soon thanks to a bill presented on February 15, 2023 taking into account the European directive adopted on November 25, 2020,” they wrote.

Élodie and Philippe handle major disputes involving financial institutions as well as French and foreign corporations, from all industry sectors, in relation to complex and serial litigation before both French courts and European courts (in particular the ECJ).
