Atlanta office Managing Partner Eric Schroeder was quoted extensively Sept. 16 by Law.com regarding the gradual return to working from office spaces. Most large law firms are allowing lawyers and staff to enter the office now on a voluntary basis. Office use remains low, however, and firm leaders say remote work will likely continue through at least the end of the year. “This is the new normal. We’re as open as we’re going to be” before full reentry, he said. Instead, Schroeder told the publication he is focused on how people are doing with the disconnection from colleagues. He and other partners are calling someone new once a day just to check in, especially with associates, he said. “It’s the mortar that keeps the bricks together.”
