Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s inaugural six-month Inclusion & Diversity Report for spring and summer 2020  is now available.

The report provides candid, timely and informative insight into the firm’s inclusion and diversity initiatives, as well as future plans. The report speaks to the unprecedented challenges of the first six months of 2020, including COVID-19 and worldwide demands for racial justice following the death of George Floyd, and how these events highlight the need to dismantle many long-standing structures and systems.

“It is our goal to bring about meaningful and sustained change. We are determined to close the gap between the diversity in our partnership and the diversity within our entry classes and associate ranks,” I&D Co-Chairs Segun Osuntokun and Jena Valdetero said in a joint statement. “We strive to create an environment where all of our people, whether they are fee-earning lawyers or business support colleagues, feel able to bring their true selves to work each and every day.

“While the first half of this year has brought with it exceptional challenges, we have seen a renewed willingness to listen and learn about the experiences of those in marginalized groups,” the diversity chairs continued. “We have seen BCLP embrace a growing sense of responsibility, ownership, and accountability for inclusion and diversity.”
