BCLP Partner Reggie Harris has been selected for inclusion in the St. Louis Business Journal’s 2021 Class of Champions for Diversity and Inclusion. The award recognizes 14 individuals who make St. Louis a more diverse, equitable and inclusive community.

As a member of BCLP’s recruiting committee, Harris is dedicated to ensuring the firm upholds its commitment to both creating and maintaining a diverse workplace.  This same commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion motivated Harris during his time at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, where he was instrumental in developing a robust diversity program. He is also frequently sought-after as a speaker, moderator and panelist on topics relating to inclusion and diversity.

Harris’s practice focuses on internal investigations, corporate compliance, white collar criminal matters and civil trial and appellate litigation. From 2002 to 2019, he served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, where he investigated and prosecuted significant federal criminal matters. His caseload as a federal prosecutor included corporate embezzlement, Ponzi-type schemes, investment fraud, financial institution fraud, false billing schemes, tax fraud and evasion, identity theft, public corruption, child exploitation and violent crime.

In his most recent role as Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney, Harris led outreach efforts related to the Department of Justice’s initiatives to combat violent crime and heroin and opioid abuse in the St. Louis region. He also directed the U.S. Attorney’s Office‘s civil rights program, including supervision, investigation, and serving as lead counsel in the prosecution of the district’s most significant criminal civil rights matters.

Harris will be honored during a special event Sept. 9 and profiled in the Sept. 10 issue of the St. Louis Business Journal. Click here to see the full list of award winners or for more information about the event (subscription required).
