Los Angeles Partner Sharon Weiss was quoted March 30 in The New York Times concerning a bump in activity for restructuring and bankruptcy lawyers as businesses grapple with the economic realities of COVID-19. Corporations across numerous industries are being forced to stretch their cash reserves, cut costs and possibly reorganize their businesses. Weiss, a member of BCLP’s Restructuring & Insolvency Practice, said she is working with clients whose finances have been disrupted, including a client in the entertainment business looking for another investor to shore up its finances.
