Wesley Fields Honored with Distinguished Counselor Award

BCLP proudly celebrates Wesley Fields, Office Managing Partner - Kansas City, on receiving the Distinguished Counselor Award from the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, recognizing a career marked by integrity, leadership, and meaningful impact on both the legal profession and the Kansas City community.

Wesley’s profile highlights his decades-long career guiding complex commercial transactions and transformative development projects, as well as his role as a trusted advisor and mentor known for thoughtful, principled leadership. The recognition also reflects his deep commitment to public service, education, and community involvement.

Wesley maintains a hybrid practice that focuses on both corporate and real estate transactions. He has significant experience in representing Company’s and Funds in connection with their equity and debt investments, as well as their acquisitions and divestitures of emerging growth and mid-market companies. Additionally, Wesley also has significant experience representing landlords and tenants in commercial leasing matters involving office, retail and industrial property. He has represented sellers and purchasers in real estate sale transaction and lenders and borrowers on loans secured by real estate.  Additionally, Fields has served as lead counsel to the Kansas City Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Commission for over 25 years.
