Biography

Aadam is a technology lawyer who specialises in advising on complex commercial and technology transactions, strategic collaborations and cross-border deals for clients across the United States, Europe and the Middle East.

Aadam has particular experience advising on technology-rich and data-driven transactions including technology licensing and supply agreements, SaaS and cloud services arrangements, digital transformation and outsourcing projects and on the procurement and development of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence (AI) and connected (IoT) systems.

With experience supporting on mergers and acquisitions, Aadam regularly advises clients on the technology, intellectual property and data privacy aspects of acquisitions, and has negotiated carve-outs and transitional services arrangements.

Aadam has experience acting for clients across a range of sectors, including technology and software, financial services, telecoms, healthcare, energy, pharmaceuticals, digital assets, real estate and industrials, and aviation. Prior to joining BCLP, he completed client secondments with leading organisations in the media and energy sectors.

Aadam has frequently published thought leadership discussing the development of the UK and EU AI regulatory landscape and authored an article on the use of industrial data and compliance with the EU’s Data Act in Law360.

Aadam’s experience* includes advising:

  • Advised a multi-national client on the purchase of colocation services and supply of AI capabilities under a GPU-as-a-service arrangement to a major Indian government customer.
  • Advised a cryptocurrency custody services business on a pre-acquisition intra-group software licensing arrangement.
  • Advised a UAE-based data centre developer on the licensing of its proprietary data centre designs and IP to a European developer in connection with plans for a major multi-stakeholder AI campus project.
  • Advised a US-based semiconductor and wireless network provider on supply of chip technology for a new IoT product range.
  • Advised a US-based payment solutions company on a marketing alliance agreement following its acquisition of the remaining stake in a JV with a major international bank.
  • Advised Ripple Labs Inc. on the technology and intellectual property issues related to its acquisition of Palisade Financial Group Ltd, a London-based digital asset custody and wallet infrastructure provider.
  • Advised Utmost Group plc on the on the technology and intellectual property issues related to its sale of its Life and Pensions business.
  • Palladian Investment Partners on the technology, intellectual property and transitional services issues related to its acquisition of Payplan Ltd.
