Biography

Amneet Mand is an accomplished litigator with significant experience in mass torts and complex commercial litigation as well as criminal trials and appellate strategy. Amneet represents manufacturers, designers and retailers of household appliances, child products and medical devices in multi-district litigations involving personal injury, wrongful death, and property damage. Her cases involve allegations of strict products liability, negligence, breach of contract, breach of warranty, failure to warn, food contamination as well as common law and contractual indemnification.

Prior to joining BCLP, Amneet was a partner in the products liability practice group at Lewis Brisbois. In the construction practice area, Amneet has defended owners, architects, and engineers in multi-million-dollar lawsuits involving claims of design and structural integrity defects. She has also represented every major hospital in New York in complex medical malpractice litigations and appeals.

Committed to public service, Amneet began her career as a public defender in the 15th Judicial Circuit where she defended youth facing criminal charges who were unable to afford an attorney. She continues to protect vulnerable children in her community as a Court Appointed Child Advocate (“CASA”) volunteer, advocating for the best interests of abused or neglected foster children.

Bottom Line: Amneet is a champion for her clients. She routinely obtains early resolutions and dismissals with a talent for negotiation and motion practice. With a keen awareness of appellate preservation, Amneet creates excellent records for summary judgment and trial.
