Biography
Anthony is an Associate in the firm's Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices and is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales.
Anthony advises on and acts in high-value and complex international disputes, with particular experience in commercial and construction disputes, shareholder and corporate matters, jurisdictional challenges, interim and precautionary relief, enforcement proceedings, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards. He represents clients in proceedings before the UAE onshore courts and the region's common law courts, including the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Courts. His practice also encompasses international arbitration across multiple jurisdictions, and he has acted in arbitrations under the rules of leading institutions, including the DIFC-LCIA, DIAC and ICC.
Anthony has represented a diverse range of clients, including multinational corporations, financial institutions, banks, high-net-worth individuals, start-ups, entrepreneurs and privately owned businesses. His experience spans disputes involving significant financial exposure, multi-jurisdictional issues and complex questions of applicable law, jurisdiction, enforcement and procedure.
In addition, Anthony regularly advises on legal issues arising across multiple Gulf jurisdictions, particularly in relation to cross-border disputes, contractual rights and obligations, enforcement strategies, and conflict of laws considerations. He also assists in the preparation of expert reports and legal opinions for use in foreign court proceedings and international arbitrations.

Experience
- Acting for a UAE healthcare investor in a DIAC arbitration governed by UAE law, arising from a contractual dispute valued at approximately USD 435 million and involving more than 25 heads of claim, including claims for breach of contract and tortious causes of action.
- Acting for a major contractor in an ICC arbitration governed by English law, arising out of a series of construction contracts with an aggregate value of approximately USD 424 million, involving claims for variations, extensions of time, prolongation costs and associated relief.
- Acting for a global commodities conglomerate in DIFC Court proceedings governed by DIFC law involving allegations of fraud and circular trading, with a claim value exceeding USD 35 million, including interim applications for strike out, summary judgement, security for costs and requests for further information.
- Acting for an international real estate brokerage group in DIFC Court freezing injunction proceedings concerning the unauthorised rebranding of a co-branded subsidiary in the UAE, involving urgent applications to protect contractual and commercial rights.
- Acting for a global foundation in an ex parte freezing injunction from the DIFC Court filed in support of substantive proceedings before the French courts concerning the ownership of valuable Islamic artwork and subsequently resisting related contempt proceedings.
- Assisting a US court-appointed special master in an investigation concerning the legitimacy of several loans with an aggregate value of approximately USD 250 million, originating from financial institutions across multiple Middle Eastern jurisdictions.
- Assisting with the enforcement in the UAE of a UK judgment valued at approximately USD 100 million, including supporting extensive execution, asset-tracing and debt recovery proceedings across multiple Emirates.
