Biography

Bumrae Cho focuses on intellectual property law with a specialization in patent litigation, patent prosecution, counseling, and portfolio management. He has comprehensive foreign and domestic experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the chemical, petrochemical, life sciences, pharmaceutical and secondary battery technologies sectors.

Bumrae also holds experience working at a Korean IP law firm where he worked with clients in Europe, the United States, Japan, China and Taiwan. He prepared numerous patent landscape searches as well as freedom-to-operate searches for global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, drafting patent applications for diverse technologies and driving winning arguments for pharmaceutical patent disputes at the South Korean Supreme Court.

While at the Franklin Pierce School of Law, Bumrae contributed to several International Technology Transfer Institute projects and research studies. This included patent landscape research for specific transgenic plant biotechnological applications.

The investigation concluded after final determination on the basis of a settlement agreement.
