Clayton Buckner is an associate who focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, appellate matters, and regulatory disputes. Clayton has broad commercial litigation experience, representing clients in state and federal courts and on appeal. He has advised clients involved in property, trade secret, and other business disputes, helping them develop effective litigation strategies and pursue favorable outcomes at every stage of a case.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable John K. Bush of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Honorable Claude M. Hilton of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Clayton earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. While in law school, he served as Articles Editor of the George Mason Law Review and Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board. He received numerous academic and advocacy honors, including the Daniel D. Polsby Award for Excellence in Leadership and the Excellence in Oral Advocacy Award. He also won multiple moot court championships, where he received honors as the top oral advocate.
