Biography
Dan Nester heads up the firm’s Southern Illinois litigation practice. He is an established litigator in highly litigious Illinois venues like St. Clair County, Madison County and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois in East St. Louis. Dan has served as lead trial lawyer in numerous cases, defending clients on everything from commercial and contract disputes to environmental actions to real estate and banking litigation. Environmental servicing firms, petroleum refiners, companies in the metals business and major lending institutions count on Dan to lead them through challenging situations. Whether it’s a toxic tort issue or “bet the bank” – clients know that Dan is on their team.
Dan also maintains a robust transactional real estate practice. Clients designate Dan as their quarterback for real estate acquisitions and sales, construction, development, finance, land use, leasing and zoning issues involving nearly every asset class.
When Dan is not in the courtroom or at the negotiation table, he is putting his passion for sports to good use as a basketball coach for various youth organizations. His tough, but respectful approach serves him well both on and off the court.
