Biography
Daphne Platford has practiced commercial real estate law for over 20 years. Her legal experience includes the representation of national, regional, and local real estate clients in the acquisition, disposition, leasing, and management of all forms of commercial properties, including retail, office, flex-space, warehouse, and medical.
Daphne’s practice focuses on the representation of landlords and property managers in a full range of lease-related services and legal support including the review, negotiation and preparation of lease agreements and related agreements involving renewals, relocation's, expansions and reductions of leased premises; lease assignment and assumption agreements; termination agreements; management contracts; commission agreements; confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements; and other property related service agreements.
Daphne also has extensive experience in all aspects related to the purchase, sale and development of commercial real estate including the coordination of partnership approvals and portfolio releases requisite in certain transactions; the coordination of all aspects of due diligence related to the acquisition and/or sale of real estate assets; the negotiation and preparation of purchase and sale agreements, lease/purchase agreements, ground leases, development and operating agreements, conventional agreements and other closing related documentation.
Daphne received her B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1988 and her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1992. She is a member of the Georgia Bar Association.
