Biography
Dave Collier is a corporate lawyer with extensive practice experience advising on complex transactional, governance, and risk management matters. His practice at BCLP focuses on mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracting, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
Dave has advised clients on a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, lending arrangements, and sophisticated commercial agreements. As a general counsel, he has also managed significant litigation portfolios and overseen regulatory and compliance matters, including internal investigations and antitrust issues.
In addition, he has led departments spanning legal, compliance, and human resources to support organizational growth and operational integration. Beyond transactional work, Dave spent several years as a purchaser of legal services in senior in-house legal and business roles. He understands the balance between delivering excellent legal advice and getting to solutions that work for his clients’ businesses, and partners with executive teams on a variety of outside general counsel services.
Prior to joining BCLP, Dave served as General Counsel (North America), Chief Administrative Officer, and Corporate Secretary of a multinational workforce solutions company. In that role, he led U.S. legal, contracts, compliance, and people functions, advising executive leadership and boards on strategic transactions, enterprise risk, investigations, and crisis management. Prior to his executive role, Dave has also held senior legal and business positions with H&R Block, where he advised on M&A, corporate governance, strategic partnerships, marketing and digital initiatives, and large-scale corporate transactions. His experience also includes significant work on corporate structuring and balance sheet initiatives.
