Biography
Ed Houser is an associate in the firm's Class Action & Mass Torts Practice Group. His practice focuses on defending companies in state and federal court in class action, mass tort, and products liability cases involving complicated legal and factual issues and significant exposure.
Before joining the firm, Ed served as a law clerk to the Honorable Chad A. Readler on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Ed graduated summa cum laude from Washington University School of Law in 2024. During law school, Ed served as a senior executive editor for the Washington University Law Review and as the head teaching assistant for Professor Jo Ellen Dardick Lewis's legal practice courses. He also interned for the Honorable Raymond W. Gruender on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and externed for the Honorable Stephen R. Clark on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri as well as then-Missouri Solicitors General D. John Sauer and Joshua M. Divine. During the course of his studies, Ed received numerous awards, including the 2021–2022 Breckenridge Academic Award (First Year), First Honors for achieving the highest 1L GPA. At graduation, Ed was inducted into the Order of the Coif and selected as one of two J.D. student marshals to serve at the university commencement ceremony
Prior to law school, Ed worked as an actor, legal assistant, high school English teacher, and college rugby coach. He holds a B.A. in English Literature, summa cum laude, from the University of Dallas.
