Biography

Ed Galvan advises clients on complex commercial real estate transactions, with a particular focus on cross-border investments, financings, joint ventures, and portfolio management matters throughout the United States and Latin America. He brings more than 20 years of experience representing institutional investors, lenders, developers, and other market participants across a broad range of real estate asset classes, including office, industrial, retail, hospitality, and multifamily properties.

Prior to joining the firm, Ed served as Assistant General Counsel for the investment management subsidiary of a Fortune 100 financial services company, where he led legal teams responsible for real estate debt and equity investments across the Northeastern United States, Mexico, and Latin America. In that role, he advised senior leadership and investment professionals on acquisitions, mortgage and mezzanine financings, structured finance transactions, private equity investments, fund participations, joint ventures, workouts, and foreclosures. He also managed external counsel across multiple jurisdictions and assisted with the development of investment platforms and strategies for cross-border real estate ventures.

Ed has extensive experience advising on high-value real estate transactions, including financings and investments involving large industrial portfolios, hospitality assets, multifamily developments, office properties, and real estate funds. His work has spanned the United States, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Brazil, and Chile, giving him a sophisticated understanding of the legal, regulatory, and business considerations involved in international real estate investments.
