Biography

Emma is a senior finance partner with nearly three decades of experience advising lenders and borrowers on the full spectrum of domestic and cross‑border finance transactions. Her experience spans investment grade and syndicated lending, real estate investment and development finance (including securitisation), acquisition finance, asset-based lending, fund finance and debt restructuring. Known for her commercial, pragmatic approach, Emma is recognised for her ability to navigate complex, time-critical mandates with clarity, precision and commercial insight.

She has a distinguished track record of leading multidisciplinary teams across finance, tax, funds, real estate, regulatory and employment to deliver seamless execution on complex transactions. Emma has experience across multiple sectors, including real estate, education, leisure, healthcare, insurance, commodities, digital, retail, financial services and food and agriculture.

Emma has held a number of senior leadership roles within the firm. She was appointed Head of Banking in 2014, leading the development of the firm’s banking practice and strengthening key strategic client relationships, and was subsequently appointed EMEA Head of Banking following the merger with Bryan Cave in 2018.

Beyond her legal practice, Emma is active in the firm’s culture and inclusion initiatives. She is Co‑Chair of the EMEA LGBTQ+ Group, a trained Mental Health Champion and First Aider, mentors aspiring solicitors through the Aspiring Solicitors programme and undertakes pro bono work for social impact organisations.
