Biography

Esthel Na is a litigation and transactional associate in the Technology, Commercial, and Data Practice Group, with a primary focus on data privacy and emerging technology matters. She has experience researching privacy and AI‑related compliance issues, including regulatory developments affecting automated decision‑making, data governance, and algorithmic accountability. Esthel has drafted various privacy policies and data processing agreements, and her matters regularly deal with the CCPA, GDPR and the growing landscape of US state privacy laws.

Her broader background includes handling franchise disputes and complex business matters. Prior to law school, Esthel interned at K‑Startup Law, APC, where she supported small startup owners from diverse cultural backgrounds in navigating legal challenges, particularly those arising from operating in a second language. A fluent Korean speaker, she brings a valuable multicultural perspective to her privacy and commercial work. During law school, Esthel participated in Loyola Law School’s State Income Tax Clinic, assisting individuals from varied socioeconomic backgrounds with their tax appeals. She also served as an editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review.
