Biography

Helen is a litigator practicing primarily in the areas of commercial disputes and product liability.  As part of her commercial disputes practice, Helen has represented corporate clients in cases involving various types of consumer fraud claims, including claims brought under unfair business practices and consumer protection statutes in California and Missouri.  She has defended tech clients against putative class action lawsuits involving data privacy claims.  She is also experienced representing financial institutions in individual lawsuits involving claims of negligence, misrepresentation, fraud, and breach of contract, as well as statutory claims involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, and California’s Unfair Competition Law, to name a few.  Helen’s commercial disputes practice has also included real estate litigation, including landlord/tenant contractual disputes and issues relating to construction.

In her product liability practice, Helen’s cases have ranged from mass actions involving pharmaceutical products, to complex environmental toxic tort cases, to high-dollar individual suits involving personal injury or wrongful death claims.  Helen has represented manufacturers of electrical chemicals, herbicides, pharmaceutical drugs and devices, hair dye, candles, child safety seats, batteries, industrial component parts, and more.  She has also defended automotive-rental companies in personal injury actions in multiple jurisdictions, and has counseled a leading tech company relating to automotive issues.

During law school, in addition to serving as a summer associate with the firm in 2013, Helen also served as a senior editor of the Washington University Law Review and interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri.  Helen began her practice in BCLP’s St. Louis office, and has practiced in its San Francisco office since 2019.
