Karen Mitchell serves as BCLP’s Global Chief People Officer, based in the New York office. She oversees the firm’s global people strategy, focusing on talent development and workplace culture to foster an inclusive, high-performing environment.

With more than three decades of experience as both a human resources leader and a former lawyer, Karen brings a strategic approach to talent development and workplace culture, reinforcing BCLP’s growth strategy.

Karen has extensive knowledge in human capital strategy and HR processes, having led these areas at top-tier global firms. Her experience includes employment law, employee relations, and providing guidance to employers and employees on related matters. Most recently, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Newmark, where she led their global HR strategy and operations, talent management (including recruitment and leadership development), and compensation and benefits. She practiced employment law earlier in her career, serving financial services, banking and commercial clients.
