Mica Germain is a partner in the firm’s Atlanta office who spends her days focused on exceeding the goals of clients in various facets of real estate. She routinely works with lenders in all aspects of structuring, negotiating and closing financing transactions for all commercial asset classes – multifamily, industrial, retail, hospitality and mixed-use projects – whether at acquisition, refinancing or construction. She has extensive experience with both landlord and tenant side leasing of both office and retail space and has also worked with companies in providing flexible office space solutions to patrons.

Mica represents lenders and special servicers in connection with the exercise of various remedies and workouts relating to non-performing commercial real estate loans including with respect to forbearance, modification, deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure, foreclosure, and the exercise of other secured creditor remedies. She also works with developers and real estate companies on complex acquisitions and dispositions. Mica also devotes a substantial amount of her time representing technology and manufacturing companies in tax-exempt revenue bond financing transactions and related economic development incentive packages.

Mica earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia. At Virginia, she served as Managing Board Member of the Virginia Law and Business Review and as President of the Law and Business Society. She was also involved in several public interest pro bono projects during those years and continues to be very involved in leading pro bono efforts at the firm.
