Biography

Niya Tandy is an associate in Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s Business & Commercial Disputes practice group. She works with clients across a range of civil litigation matters and is committed to building a practical, client‑focused approach to dispute resolution.

Ms. Tandy joined the firm in 2023 as a Concordance Legal Fellow, where she provided pro-bono representation to post‑incarcerated individuals and assisted clients in resolving outstanding misdemeanors and traffic matters. Through this work, she gained meaningful experience in traffic law and municipal court proceedings and deepened her commitment to supporting system‑impacted communities.

In 2025, Ms. Tandy transitioned into a full‑time associate role at BCLP. She continues to expand her civil litigation practice and actively engages in the firm’s pro bono initiatives, contributing her skills to matters that advance access to justice and community empowerment.

Her background in sociology informs her holistic understanding of the systemic forces that shape legal challenges. She earned her B.A. in Sociology, with a minor in Spanish, from Missouri State University, and her J.D. from Howard University School of Law in 2023.
